The Client
A pharmaceutical manufacturer specializing in sterile preparations, developing a new non-PVC soft bag product line for an enteral nutrition solution.
The Challenge — From a Vague Idea to a Defined Line
The Solution — Engineered Decision by Decision
Capacity. We initially offered 1-out-2 and 1-out-4 configurations — 1,800 and 3,600 units respectively. The client selected the higher-output 3,600-unit configuration.
Filling environment. The client had strict requirements for the filling environment. We explained the difference — and the cost implications — between RABS and CABS. After budget and market evaluation, the client chose an open RABS solution, since their cleanroom reached Grade A and met the production environment requirement.
Sterilization. Once the line was defined, the client added sterilization requirements. Based on the selected capacity, we specified a dedicated sterilizer system.
Secondary packaging. Finally, the client asked to pack the finished soft bags into an outer plastic bag with a desiccant to extend shelf life. We confirmed the approach met pharmaceutical standards and provided the corresponding equipment.
The Result
The client was satisfied with the complete solution. After several rounds of commercial discussion, the contract for the production line was confirmed.
